Charming ceramic designs by Michele Quan

Sometimes the world seems to be in an endless rush, where busy days take over and we wish we could have more hours in a day, it is at these moments that I try to find simplicity and a feeling of peace…. For me there’s many ways to find it, sitting down with a coffee and music, going out for a hike, taking photos or…. stumbling upon pretty designs or artwork… Today I found this little gem, the charming ceramic designs by Michele Quan.

Michele designs and sculpts handmade ceramic art and objects for the home and garden. Originally from Vancouver Canada, Michele moved to New York City in 1984 to study graphic design & photography at Parsons School of Design. She used to be a jewelry designer, and co-founded the NYC jewelry company Me&Ro. Now she does her own line of all these ceramic pieces where visual symbols of Eastern iconography play a large role in the designs. From birdhouses to large ceramic diamonds each peace is piece is handmade and all images are painted or drawn by hand. All I can say is that I love them and I would definitely love to own a couple of these master pieces.

Take 5 minutes for yourself and take a look, I hope it leaves you in awe and that you will love it as much as I do!

All images belong to Michele Quan
